With this late 2020 development, I found a BMS that seemed to match the capabilities of a new BatteryHookup 32650 cell rated at 6Ah. This led to a new version of the battery that could still handle QRO but not quite FT-857D 22A draw for digital transmission duty cycles.
This Mk VII-like battery incorporates a new Blue PVC shrink wrap more suited to the dimensions of 32650 cells, 125mm wide, for better closure at the ends.
